A catering platter is a ready-to-serve tray of food built for a group: sandwiches, pastries, a grazing board, a hot dish. The good ones share a few habits. They arrive looking the way they did when they left the kitchen, they hold on a table for an hour, they suit most of the room, and they say clearly how many people they feed.

The platters on this page are here because they are what Sydney offices order from us most. Some are Italian through and through, like the focaccia sandwiches and the cannoli. Others are simply good office food, like the warm breakfast platter that has become the most popular item on our whole catering menu. All of them are cooked in our own kitchen.

Breakfast: the Warm Savoury Breakfast Platter (regular, vegetarian or Halal), the Breakfast Antipasto Platter for up to 6, Mini Scrambled Eggs Morning Wraps and croissant and toastie platters. Lunch: the Italian Mixed Focaccia Sandwich Platter (12 or 20 pieces), pasta trays serving 6 to 8, Nonna's Meatball Platter, and the boneless roast chicken thighs, our signature bestseller.

For the table and the afternoon: the Italian Deli Grazing Board, the Fresh Fruit & Pastry Platter, the Premium Pastry & Biscuit Tea Platter, Tea Scones with jam and cream, and the Italian Cannoli Platter. For a first order of around 12 people, one breakfast or lunch platter per six guests, plus one sweet platter, is a reliable start. Every product lists its serves.

A best seller has to taste the same every time. Ours are made in our own kitchen on Bent Street by the chefs who run the cafe, under head chef John Thomas, who learned to cook in his Nonna's kitchen in Umbria and later worked on events with Preludio in Italy. No outsourced production, no reheating from a commissary, and the same recipe every week.

We deliver ourselves, in our own van, to your floor and not just the front desk. We know the loading docks and building rules at Aurora Place, Quay Quarter, International Towers, 1 Bligh Street, Governor Macquarie Tower and the MLC Centre, among dozens of other CBD addresses, so a regular order turns into a routine nobody has to think about.

The most popular platters are popular partly because they work for mixed groups. The Warm Savoury Breakfast Platter comes in vegetarian and Halal versions, most pasta trays can be made gluten-free, the roast chicken thighs are gluten-free and dairy-free, the mixed sandwich and wrap platters include at least 20% vegetarian options, and Halal-certified options run across most of our menus.

Tell us about allergies when you order and we cross-check every item for peanuts, tree nuts, sesame, shellfish, eggs, gluten and dairy. Every platter is labelled, so guests can see what they are eating without asking. Our kitchen is not a fully allergen-free environment, so for complex needs, call us before ordering and we will confirm each item.

We deliver our best sellers across the Sydney CBD, Martin Place, Wynyard, Barangaroo and Circular Quay, and to Pyrmont, Ultimo, Surry Hills, Darlinghurst, Potts Point, Woolloomooloo, North Sydney, Crows Nest, Chatswood, Macquarie Park and the inner Eastern Suburbs. Order by 2:30pm for next-day delivery and choose your time at checkout. If you need platters today, call us before 9am and we will tell you whether the kitchen can fit you in. Large or custom orders need 48 hours, and three to five days for 200 people or more. We deliver Monday to Friday.
